Add Feenics access control platform to Alta Video

By integrating Alta Video and your Keep by Feenics access control platform, you have all the tools and features to display your access control events in the Alta Video user interface alongside the video and map information from the cameras near each access control point. In addition, you can configure Alta Video so that your operators can remotely open doors from within the Alta Video user interface.

Prerequisites

Ensure that the Feenics access control system has been configured, a dedicated user account has been created, and that you have the following information available:

  • The name to be used within Alta Video to refer to the access control system.
  • The Feenics instance name.
  • The remote username and remote password needed to log into the dedicated user account on your Feenics access control system, specifically for Alta Video.
  • The Feenics region your installation is in. By default, this is "US".
  • If not in the US or Canada regions, the URL you use to access your Feenics deployment.

Task — Add a Feenics access control platform

  1. Choose Tools Open a tool > Devices Devices.
  2. Click Access Control > Access servers .
  3. Click Add new server Add new server.
  4. Select Feenics from Provider.
  5. Enter the System Name.
    This is the name used to refer to the access control system from within Alta Video.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select the region your Feenics instance is in:
    • If this is the US, EU, or Canada, select the relevant country.
    • Otherwise, select Other and then enter the URL used to access your Feenics deployment into the Connect to field.
  8. Enter the Remote Username and Remote Password for the user account created for the Alta Video integration in Feenics.
  9. Specify the Instance name for the Feenics instance that you want to connect to Alta Video.
  10. Click Add.
