Alta Video — 2121: Vulnerabilities in cmd/cgo and crypto/tls in Go before 1.25.7 and 1.24.13

Overview
A vulnerability was found in the cmd/cgo Go package, related to the parsing of comments, which allowed for code smuggling into the resulting cgo binary. Specifically, a discrepancy existed between how Go and C/C++ comments were parsed. Additionally, an issue existed in crypto/tls Go package with unexpected session resumption when using Config.GetConfigForClient, where connections could bypass modified authentication requirements.

Alta Video Cloud: from 20th February 2026
Resolution
This issue has been fixed in Alta Video Beta upgrade channel version 8.1.2 and Stable upgrade channel version 8.1.5.
It is highly recommended that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface.
A fix was deployed to the Alta Video Cloud on 20th February 2026. Alta Video Cloud customers do not need to take any additional action.
This issue has been fixed in Avigilon Cloud-Native Cameras Beta upgrade channel version 8.1.2 and Stable upgrade channel version 8.1.5.
It is highly recommended that all Avigilon Cloud-Native camera installations running an affected version upgrade to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface for Avigilon Cloud-Native cameras and the Avigilon Cloud-Native Camera Interface for unmanaged cameras.
