Alta Video -1579: Private tokens could appear in logs if context containing gRPC metadata was logged

Overview

A vulnerability was identified in the github.com/grpc/grpc-go library where private tokens could be exposed in logs. This would occur if a context containing gRPC metadata would be logged.

Affected Products

• Alta Video:
  • All Stable upgrade channel versions before 8.0.9.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions before 8.0.2.

Unaffected Products

• Alta Video:

  • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 8.0.9.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 8.0.2.

• Avigilon Cloud-Native Cameras: all versions.

• Alta Video Cloud: all versions.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Alta Video Beta upgrade channel version 8.0.2 and Stable upgrade channel version 8.0.9.

It is strongly recommended that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface.
