Overview
A vulnerability in the k8s.io/APIServer-v0.29.1
(github.com/kubernetes/apiserver
) Go package allowed attackers to exhaust server resources by rapidly resetting multiple HTTP/2 streams through request cancellation.
Affected Products
Ava Aware:
- All Stable upgrade channel versions before 6.9.5.
- All Beta upgrade channel versions before 6.9.0.
Ava Cloud: before 7th May 2024.
Unaffected Products
Ava Aware:
- All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 6.9.5.
- All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 6.9.0.
Ava Cameras: all versions.
Ava Cloud: from 7th May 2024
Resolution
This issue has been fixed in Ava Aware Beta upgrade channel version 6.9.0 and Stable upgrade channel version 6.9.5.
It is highly recommended that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Ava Aware User Interface.
A fix was deployed to the Ava Cloud on 7th May 2024. Ava Cloud customers do not need to take any additional action.
