Alta-Aware-763 Vulnerabilities in Go could cause a denial of service

Overview

Vulnerabilities in Go's net/http, crypto/tls, and mime/multipart packages could give rise to a denial of service condition in Ava Aware, Ava Cloud Connector, Ava Cameras, and Ava Cloud.

• Ava Aware:
  • All Stable upgrade channel versions before 5.6.7.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions before 5.7.0.
• Ava Cameras:
  • All Stable upgrade Channel versions before 5.6.7.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions before 5.7.0.
• Ava Cloud: before 17th February 2023.

Unaffected Products

• Ava Aware:
  • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 5.6.7.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 5.7.0.
• Ava Cameras:
  • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 5.6.7.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 5.7.0.
• Ava Cloud: from 17th February 2023.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Ava Aware Beta upgrade channel version 5.7.0 and Stable upgrade channel version 5.6.7.

It is highly recommended that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Ava Aware User Interface.

A fix was deployed to the Ava Cloud on 17th February 2023. Ava Cloud customers do not need to take any additional action.
