Ava-349: Denial of service vulnerability in Ava Aware on premise and Ava cameras

Overview
A vulnerability in a third party component would allow an attacker to crash the SSH server component of an Ava Aware on premise appliance or an Ava camera.

- All Stable upgrade channel versions before 3.2.5.
- All Beta upgrade channel versions before 3.3.2.
- Ava cameras:
- All Stable upgrade channel versions before 3.2.5.
- All Beta upgrade channel versions before 3.3.2.

- All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 3.2.5.
- All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 3.3.2.
- Ava cameras:
- All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 3.2.5.
- All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 3.3.2.
- Ava Cloud: all versions.
Resolution
This issue has been fixed in Ava Aware Beta upgrade channel version 3.3.2 and Stable upgrade channel version 3.2.5. It is strongly recommended that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Ava Aware User Interface. This issue has been fixed in Ava camera Beta upgrade channel version 3.3.2 and Stable upgrade channel version 3.2.5. It is strongly recommended that all Ava camera installations running an affected version upgrade to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Ava Aware User Interface for Ava managed cameras and the Ava camera UserInterface for unmanaged cameras.

Mitigations
This issue can be mitigated by preventing access to the ssh port of your Ava Aware on premise appliances and Ava cameras (e.g. through firewall rules). For Ava cameras customers could consider disabling ssh.
