Log into your local Cloud Connector user interface

Last modified: Monday January 31, 2022.

Your Alta Cloud Connectors rarely need to be accessed directly, as they are configured and managed from your Alta Video deployment. However, you can access the local user interface for your Cloud Connectors using the credentials generated by your Alta Video Cloud instance.

As your Alta Video deployment regularly rotates the credentials for your Alta Cloud Connectors, you need to be able to access your Alta Video Cloud deployment as an Administrator in order to fetch the current credentials needed to log into the local user interface for the relevant Cloud Connector.

Task — Log into your Cloud Connector

  1. Log in to your Alta Video deployment as an Administrator.
  2. Click New tool from the tool ribbon, then select Servers tool buttonSystem.

If the System tab is already open, click the tab to view the page.

  3. Select the Cloud Connector of interest.
  4. From the Details pane, click View credentials.
  5. In a separate browser tab, navigate to the local Cloud Connector login page using either the hostname or the IP address for the relevant Cloud Connector.
  6. From Alta Video Cloud, click the name next to Username. The Copied to clipboard message is displayed.
  7. In the Cloud Connector login page, paste the copied information into the username entry box.
  8. From Alta Video Cloud, click the entry next to Password. The Copied to clipboard message is displayed.
  9. In the Cloud Connector login page, paste the copied information into the password entry box.
  10. Click Sign in.
The Cloud Connector user interface opens, and after a few seconds, is updated with the information about connection status, software versions and connected devices.
