Create templates for use in search and rules

Last modified: Tuesday August 30, 2022.

Often, you might need to carry out searches using the feeds from the same cameras. For example, you might want to search the cameras that cover the entrances and exits from your building. You might also create several rules that use the same groups of cameras. Your rules might also often involve the same time frames, for example, you might create several rules that are only active outside of your core working times.

You can create Camera and Data & Time templates to group these regularly searched cameras, or your specified time ranges making future searches or rule-creation quicker to set up.

Rules use both Camera and Data & Time templates; Searches can only use Camera templates.
