Edit Saved Clips

When video has been bookmarked or external links shared, they can be edited by the operator that created the bookmark or external link, or by any Administrator or Operator that has access to them.

Prerequisites

Locate the saved video clip or link from the Clips tool.

Task — Edit a selected bookmarked clip

1. From the toolbar, open > Clips.
2. Select the bookmarked clip or external link of interest.
   Depending on whether you selected a bookmark or a shared link, you can:

   Edit the bookmark settings	Edit the shared link settings
   Export video from the bookmarked content	Export video from the shared link
   Create a shared link from the bookmarked content	Delete the shared link
   Delete the bookmarked video

3. To change users:
   1. Click Users with access.
   2. Click the dropdown list and select the user group to be added.

      To select multiple user groups, repeat this step for each group.

      Alternatively, to give access to all Alta Video users, select the All users toggle.

   3. Click Save.
4. To edit settings:
   1. Click Edit bookmark or Edit settings.
   2. Make your required changes
      You can disable footage from included cameras, adjust the clip length to either shorten or lengthen it. You can also edit the Name, Description, for how long the bookmark or clip is available, and whether the viewer can download the video locally.
   3. Click Save.
5. To export the bookmarked video or shared link:
   1. Click Export.
   2. Make any required adjustments to the camera feeds to export and to the length of the clips.
   3. Enter a name for the exported zip file.
   4. Select the required format (.mp4 or .ava format).
   5. If required, configure a password for the clip.
   6. Set a name for the video clips.
   7. Click Export.
6. To create a shared link from a bookmarked video clip:
   1. Click Create external link.
   2. Make any required adjustments to the camera feeds to export and to the length of the clips.
   3. Enter a Name, Description, Available for time, and (optional) Password for the shared link.
   4. To copy the link to clipboard, click the Video link.
   5. Click Save.
7. To delete the bookmark or shared link:
   1. Click Delete bookmark, or Delete external link.
   2. Click Ok.
