Configure Avigilon Ava cloud camera RTSP streams

Avigilon Ava cloud-native cameras can be configured to enable RTSP and RTSPS streaming, to allow other systems to receive a live RTSP steam from your Avigilon Alta cloud cameras.

Prerequisites

Make sure an RTSP streaming user is created for this cloud camera and that RTSP & RTSPS streaming is enabled in the deployment settings.

The other systems must be on the same network as the camera, and one or more user groups must be set up to access the RTSP stream.

Task — Set the RTSP streams

  1. From the toolbar, open new tool button > devices tool buttonDevices.
  2. Select the Avigilon Ava camera to have streaming configured.
  3. From the Settings pane, click Edit settings.
  4. Click Video.
  5. From RTSP & RTSPS streaming select either:
    • Off,
    • RTSPS only, or
    • RTSP and RTSPS
  6. Depending on your chosen option, click either Copy RTSP information or Copy RTSPS information to copy the stream information to the clipboard.
