Download diagnostic information from your Avigilon Ava cameras

Download the diagnostic information (log files) from your Avigilon Ava cameras from within the Alta Video user interface so that your Avigilon Altapartner or Support can diagnose issues.

If you have configured your Avigilon Ava camera to store audio recordings, the diagnostic logs include the last five audio snippets.

Task — Locate and download Avigilon Ava camera log files

  1. Choose Tools Open a tool > Devices Devices.
  2. Select the Avigilon Ava camera from which to download the log files.
  3. From the details pane, select Edit settings.
  4. Select Maintenance.
  5. Click Download Ava camera logs.
    The log files are downloaded to your local computer in a file named vcam_<deviceserialnumber>_devicelogs.zip.

    The .zip file is downloaded to the default download location configured on your computer.

  6. Send the downloaded log file to your Avigilon Alta partner or Support.
