Find camera information

To find the Alta Key, serial number, power source, or other information (for example, the model of device, its firmware version, IP or MAC address) for a camera without having to remove the device cover, or to remove the device itself from its installed position, use the Devices tool.

Task — Find the Alta Key, serial number, or other device-specific information

1. Choose Open a tool > Devices.
2. Select the camera of interest.
3. Select Detailed information.
4. Note the information of interest.

Task — View the storage used by a camera

1. Select the camera of interest.
2. Select Detailed information.
3. Scroll to Data management.
   From this area, you can see the configured retention period, when the oldest recording was made, as well as statistics about the total storage and the storage used for interesting and uninteresting events.

Camera power source information

You can also see the power source being used by the cameras. The power source field is not displayed for cameras connected to the deployment via a Cloud Connector.
