Activate or deactivate channels for encoders or multi-source devices

When using multichannel encoders or multisensor devices, you can deactivate any channels that you are not using and do not want to appear in Alta Video.

Prerequisites

Only users that have edit permissions for Devices can deactivate encoder and multi-sensor device channels.

Task

  1. From the toolbar, open new tool button > devices tool buttonDevices.
  2. Select the multi-sensor device or multichannel encoder of interest.
  3. From the right-hand pane, beneath the device name, select Edit settings.
  4. From the General tab, scroll to Video Source.
  5. Select the required source.
  6. Toggle Use source to your required state.
  7. Click Done.
