Adjust camera video parameters from Alta Video

To enable the best possible analysis and display from the cameras you have connected to your Alta cloud-based video security systems, Alta Video includes several tools to help you adjust camera parameters, for example, the brightness, color saturation, and focus for each camera.

The tools available for adjusting camera parameters rely on the options provided by each camera. Depending on the make and model of the devices you are using, some options might not available.

Prerequisites

Only Users with Devices | View device information and Devices | Add/Edit devices permissions can access the camera Video adjustments.

Task — Video adjustments

  1. Choose Tools Open a tool > Devices Devices.
  2. Select the camera to adjust.
  3. Click Edit settings.
  4. Click Video > Video adjustments.
  5. Make your required changes.
    The options available depend on the make and model of camera, and can include:
    • Focus and Area of focus
    • Zoom
    • IR infrared illumination settings
    • LED white light illumination settings
    • HDR
    • Exposure area
    • Auto video rotation and manual Video rotation
    • Anti-flicker or banding (Not available when HDR is enabled.)
  6. Click Done.
    The changes you make might take a few moments to be applied to the camera.
