Add camera positions to your site maps

Last modified: Thursday April 20, 2023.

For the tracking and locations to be accurate when using Map view, the camera icons and field of view indicators need to be correctly positioned and oriented on the maps. This allows your operators get a better understanding of your sites and the people in them.

Place the camera icons on your site maps, or around the edges of the map, to best reflect your physical camera placements on site and match the camera field of view details to the view shown by the camera.

Once you have placed your cameras on your maps, see Set camera fields of view about setting the camera field of view.
