View additional information on your Map view

Map view shows your uploaded site maps and floorplans, and overlays information about object detections from your cameras. This provides the real-time Smart Presence view of where people or vehicles are on your site.

Prerequisites

Make sure you have uploaded and configured your site maps in Map view.

Task — View the people and/or vehicle locations

1. Choose Tools > Map view.
2. Select the site map or floorplan of interested.
3. To view and select your preferred screen tools, click Show maps to view the available tools:
   • — Show Field of View cones for each camera.
   • — Show Extra information (fire extinguishers, defibrillators, and others) icons on your site maps.
   • — Show approximate locations of all people within the view of your cameras.
   • — Show approximate locations of all vehicles within the view of your cameras.
   • — When viewing the locations of people on your site maps, additionally see an approximation of their paths as they move through the camera field of view.
   • — Show an indication of the number of objects in the timeline.
   • — Show approximate locations of sensors that have been added to Map view
   • — Show license plate information for vehicles that enter your license plate recognition zones within the view of your LPR cameras.

     Some features require additional licensing and will not show if the feature is not licensed for your deployment.

4. Additionally, you can:
   • Click a person or vehicle icon to open a detailed (zoomed in) thumbnail view of the person.
   • Click a camera icon to open a thumbnail view of the full view from the selected camera. See View video streams from Map view.
   • Click an audio announcement icon to open the announcement pane, where you can use the push-to-talk button to make announcements.
   • Click on a Map link icon to jump that map.
