Create rules for System issues

Create rules to alert your Avigilon Alta operators when issues with your Cloud Connectors occur. This enables your staff to then rectify the issues before they impact your Alta video security systems.
Prerequisites
To use
Task — Create the System issues rule
- From the toolbar, open
> Rules . - Click the
System tab. - Click
Add . - Type a name for the rule.
- Select
System issues . - Set the
Level of importance for the rule. - Click
Next . - Select the type of
Internal appliance issues you want to detect.- You can create a rule to detect when the audit log storage is almost full and download any required logs. Enter the percentage of used storage that triggers the rule. When the storage is full, Aware automatically deletes older logs.
- Select the type of
External appliance issues you want to detect. - Click
Next . - Select the Cloud Connectors to be monitored for your selected issues.
Use theAll servers toggle to monitor across all your deployment. - Click
Next . - Specify when or how the rule is activated.
You can create or useTemplates to simplify adding the same date and time parameters to multiple rules. - Click
Next . Select automated actions taken by the system when the rule triggers:
Pop-up : Show a notification in Alta Video that includes a thumbnail of the rule-triggering video. If required, selectAlso send a push notification on the mobile app .Email : Send an email message to a system user or user group. You can define an email template and include data from the trigger.External link : Creates a link to the triggering recording that can be shared with non-system users or embedded in anEmail orWebhook notification.Webhook : Dispatch a configured webhook including trigger data as the payload.PTZ Cameras : Move pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras to pre-configured positions. This option is only available if PTZ cameras are added to the deployment.
Alarms are only shown to operators that have access to the cameras that trigger the rule.
- Choose to require your operators to verify the triggered rule.
- Click
Done .
