How to: Quick search from Video view

When viewing video in Video view, you can carry out a quick search to find more footage of a selected object.

Task — Quick search

  1. From Video view, hover over or maximize the required camera view.
  2. Click Search button Search.
  3. Select the People, Vehicle, or Face tab and click the object of interest:
    1. Alta Video shows similar objects detected in the last 30 minutes.
    2. Hover over a thumbnail to view a short video replay.
    3. Click the thumbnail to play back video of the object.
  4. You can use a detected object to set up the Search tool:
    1. Click the required thumbnail and choose Search.
    2. The Search tool opens and automatically runs.
