Alta Video data residency

To provide the cloud infrastructure needed to host and run Alta Video, Avigilon Alta uses services from Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Wasabi, and Digital Ocean.
Alta Video data centers
Alta Video deployments are hosted on GCP, with Wasabi providing the cloud video storage used by Alta Cloud Storage. Digital Ocean is used to host the TURN servers used by Smart Path.
For both GCP and Wasabi, Avigilon Alta uses multiple data centers as listed in table 1. The choice of which data center is used is selectable when your deployment is first configured. This gives you control over the residency of your data, and to reduce the distance that your data has to travel as it moves between your cameras, your Cloud Connectors and the Alta Cloud and Alta Cloud Storage.

TURN server location
Partners can configure the data region of the TURN servers used by a Deployment during setup, or change it later using DMP. By default, Digital Ocean hosts TURN servers. If the default location is changed, GCP hosts them.
No data is stored by the TURN servers, and all data transferred using them is encrypted with keys not known to the TURN servers.

Motorola Cloud Analytics Platform
Some features within Alta Video use analytics services external to your Alta Video deployment.
Face search uses the Motorola Cloud Analytics Platform (MCAP) to analyze the metadata from your cameras. The MCAP services are hosted on AWS systems.
