Camera update limits

To view and change system settings, you must have the correct permissions. See Alta Video Deployment settings.

You can moderate the bandwidth Alta Video uses by limiting the number of cameras on each site that can simultaneously receive software updates.

Change camera update limits

By default, 100 cameras can simultaneously receive software updates.

  1. From the toolbar, open new tool button > system tool bar System.
  2. From Deployment, select Settings Settings.
  3. Select Bandwidth.
  4. If required, enter a new Default limit.
  5. To set or remove limitations for individual sites, click Edit limitation per site.
    1. For the required sites, change the Limit to Default limit, Custom limit, or No limit.
    2. For each custom limit, set the maximum number of cameras that can simultaneously receive updates.
  6. Click Done.
