Preferred maintenance period

To view and change system settings, you must have the correct permissions. See Alta Video Deployment settings.

Normally, we release our software updates gradually. It might take up to two weeks for your deployment to receive an upgrade after we announce a software release. See Alta Video software release notes.

However, updates always follow your preferred maintenance period. For example, if your deployment is configured to update every Tuesday evening, your deployment only checks for available updates at that time. You deployment will update on the first or second Tuesday following a software release.

Configure your preferred Maintenance period

  1. Open the System System tool.
  2. From Deployment, select Settings.
  3. Select General.
  4. Click Maintenance period.
  5. Configure your preferred maintenance schedule.
    1. Your deployment only checks for and installs Alta Video and Alta camera software updates at the selected times.
  6. Click Done.
