Configure LACP for Cloud Connectors

To improve throughput and resilience for your Alta Cloud Connectors, you can configure the network interfaces to use Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP). LACP enables you to bond two or more network interfaces on your Alta Cloud Connector. LACP does not allow for the bonding of network interfaces with different connection speeds.

Bond interfaces

  1. From the toolbar, open new tool button > system tool bar System.
  2. Select the required Alta Cloud Connector.
  3. Click Edit settings from the right-hand pane.
  4. Select Network interfaces.
  5. For the required interface, click Edit Edit.
  6. Click Bond interface with.
  7. Select the interface to bond with from the dropdown and click Bond.
  8. Click Done.

Unbond interfaces

  1. From the toolbar, open new tool button > system tool bar System.
  2. Select the required Alta Cloud Connector.
  3. Click Edit settings from the right-hand pane.
  4. Select Network interfaces.
  5. Click Edit Edit for the bonded interface you want to remove.
  6. Click Unbond.

Change interface priority

You can set the priority order for interface usage

  1. From the toolbar, open new tool button > system tool bar System.
  2. Select the required Alta Cloud Connector.
  3. Click Edit settings from the right-hand pane.
  4. Select Network interfaces.
  5. Click Change priority.
  6. Click and drag the interfaces to set the priority order from top to bottom.
  7. Click Done.
