Listen to audio from your Ava cameras

From Video view, you can listen to audio being picked up by your Avigilon Ava cameras.
Depending on the configuration profile of the camera, you can listen to live audio and/or playback recorded audio.
The ability to record audio or listen to live audio is a zero-cost licensed feature. For jurisdictions where it is legal to do so, you can add an audio license to your Alta Video deployment. Speak to your Avigilon Alta Partner or Sales representative.
When your audio license has been applied, new sound-related elements appear in the Alta Video user interface, including the

Task — Enable the sound equalizer and audio levels layers
- Choose
Tools > Video view . - Select
Layers . - Select
Sound equalizer .
Listen to audio is displayed on the views from your Avigilon Ava cameras. - Select
Audio levels to add audio level information to the timelines.
Task — Listen to live sounds
Listening to live audio requires that the
- Ensure you have enabled to sound equalizer layer.
- Click to listen to the sounds being picked up by your Avigilon Ava camera.
Any audio being picked up by the selected Avigilon Ava camera is played to the speakers defined by your computer.
The relative volume of the sound being captured is shown by the level meter. - Click to stop the audio being played.

Listening to audio in playback requires that the

Playback mode for the camera of interest. - Drag the timeline for the selected camera to the period of interest.
- Click to listen to the recorded sounds from your Avigilon Ava camera.
- Click to stop the audio being played.
