Certification and standards

Different certification standards exist for intrusion systems and components, such as the European EN 50131 and US UL2610. Compliance with a standard demonstrates that an alarm system meets a defined level of protection and reliability.

• Individual countries implement these standards differently, and certification is usually voluntary.
