Last modified: Tuesday July 14, 2026.

You can connect sensors and input devices to an Access Control Unit (ACU) and use them as triggers in Alta Protect zones.

Beta support for the 32-Input Expansion Board was added in Alta Protect 8.3.0. Initially, some devices or setups might not be fully supported. More support will be add in future releases. If you experience issues, contact Support.

Before you start

  • Make sure you have the necessary Alta licenses and credentials. You need a license for Alta Protect, and a sensor integration license. For more information, speak to your Avigilon Alta Partner or Sales representative.
  • Connect your sensors and trigger devices to appropriate inputs on the ACU and note the input used.
