Change Horn Speaker settings in Alta Protect

You can change the configuration of an Avigilon Alta Horn Speaker using the Devices tool in Alta Protect.
View Horn Speaker settings
- In Alta Protect, open the
Devices tool.
- Hover over
Devices and selectspeakers . - Select the required speaker.
- From the side panel:
- Expand Settings to see general information about the device, including its site, group, labels, and configuration file.
- Expand Detailed information to see more details, such as model, IP address, software version, MAC address, Alta Key, serial number, power source, site details, data management, and backup configuration.
- Expand Logs and comments to view automated logs and user comments. You can add comments about the configuration of the device.
Change Horn Speaker settings
- In Alta Protect, open the
Devices tool.
- Hover over
Devices and selectspeakers . - Select the required speaker.
- From the side panel, expand Settings and click Edit settings.
- Select the required tab.
- From the General tab:
- Change the device name.
- Change the device group.
- To change the site, open Device group and select Move to another site.
- Add or remove labels.
- Associate the speaker with cameras that are situated in the same location.
Edit Location settings:
- Set the GPS coordinates of the area visible in the camera viewport.
- Assign the device to a floor withing the site.

- From the Connection tab:
- You can View credentials for the speaker.
- Click Rotate device credentials to change the device credential password.
- In Network settings, you can see detailed network information such as the IP address and MAC address.
- Click Manage network settings to turn Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) on or off.
- From the Audio tab:
- Turn the microphone on or off, enable live audio streaming and recording, view the microphone levels, set the speaker status, set the speaker volume, and play a test sound.
- From the Maintenance tab:
- See the current and available firmware, download logs, replace or reboot the device, restore the default settings, move the device to another deployment, or delete the speaker from your deployment.
