Alta Protect MCP connection

The Alta Protect Model Context Protocol (MCP) server connects AI-powered code editors directly to the Alta Protect API documentation, delivering instant answers on how to build and complete tasks using the API.

This MCP server is an informational tool for API documentation, not an operational link to Alta Protect. It can answer "how-to" questions, but it cannot execute tasks like running reports, adding users, or changing settings.

Testing your MCP configuration

Once you have finished the configuration, follow these steps to verify that your MCP server connection is working:

Open your AI editor: Launch your preferred environment.
Start a new chat: Initiate a fresh conversation with the AI assistant.
Inquire about Alta Protect: Use the sample prompts below to test the assistant’s ability to retrieve and process data.
