Add triggers to a zone

Add cameras, sensors and access control points to monitor your zone and trigger alarms.
To edit existing settings, open the
Zones tool, right-click the required zone, and select Edit.
- Click Triggers and use the Cameras, Sensors, and A.C. Points tabs to find and assign the required devices.
- You can toggle between
list view and
map view to find devices.

- To change maps, open
Maps.
- Click and drag to select or deselect the required devices.

- If required, you can change the device detection types that trigger an alarm in this zone, for example, people, sounds, and vehicles.
- To select the default detections, select the required device tab and click All detections

- To override the default detections, open the
settings for the required device. Open the What tab and select the detection types that trigger an alarm.
- Each device must have at least one detection type.
- If required, you can toggle Exclude stationary objects. When active, the zone will ignore stationary objects that might be identified as something else, for example, a hanging coat detected as a person.
- To select the default detections, select the required device tab and click All detections
- For cameras, you can configure areas of interest or crossable lines that trigger detections.
- Open the Cameras tab and selected the required device.
- Open the device
settings.
- Open the Where tab.
- Select
Area of interest and click and drag to draw rectangular areas of interest in the camera view.
- Select
Line crossing and click and drag to draw a line in the camera view.
- Click and set
blue arrows to configure the direction of movement the line detects.
- Ensure there is enough space either side of the line for the bounding box of a person to be detected. Do not place the line close to the edge of the view port, doors, or other objects that reduce the chance of the video analytics detecting a person on both sides of the line. - Click and set
- Click Done.
