Known issues

During testing, we have found the following issues in these releases.

These Beta feature software versions have been extensively tested on the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, using the Chrome browser.

Table 5 – Known issues — Ava camera software

ReferenceIssue
3779Issue: By design, Ava cameras ship without default credentials. For versions of Ava Aware prior to Ava Aware 1.4, if you do not manually configure a username and password during the camera installation, you cannot add the Ava camera to Ava Aware.
Workaround: Either ensure that Ava Aware is at version 1.4 or later, or manually add a username and password to your Ava camera and use these credentials when connecting to Ava Aware. See Set Alta camera system settings locally
3451, 3957Issue: Some Ava cameras produce sub-optimal video feeds, with a purple/pink tinge, soft image sharpness, or low contrast.
2950

Issue: If you repeatedly use the Ava cameras auto-focus feature, either from the Ava camera software, or from the Ava Aware video management system user interfaces, the focus achieved might be blurred.

Workaround: If auto-focus is not functioning correctly, using the manual focus slider resets the focus.

2930Issue: When upgrading the software on your Ava cameras, the Ava Aware video management system reports a video error, rather than that the device is being upgraded.
2151

Issue: If you manually change the IP address of your Dome camera, you are not given any warnings that this will break contact with the camera, and you are not redirected to the new address.

Workaround: After changing the IP address of your camera, manually browse to the new IP address after the camera has rebooted.
