Receive notifications and remotely view video and alarms from your Alta Video deployments on your Android mobile device.

To receive notifications on your Android mobile device, you must ensure your Alta Video deployment has Remote access enabled.

With the Alta Video mobile app, you are no longer tied to your desk for these tasks. Securely receive notifications about alarms and anomalies on your cellular device and view the accompanying video for these events.

You can also view the video feeds from any cameras connected to your Alta Video deployments.

Getting started with the app

To use the Alta Video mobile app for Android devices, you must already have a user profile set up for the Alta Video deployments you want to monitor with, as a minimum the following permissions:

  • View live video
  • View historic video
  • View devices in video view
  • View alarms

To install and use the Alta Video mobile app for Android devices:

To sign up for the beta versions of the Alta Video mobile app, search for Alta Video from the Play store, and then from the App information, tap Join from the Join the beta section.

  1. Install the Alta Video mobile app on your Android device, using the usual Play Store workflows.
  2. Connect to your Alta Video deployment: enter your server name (for example, aware-test-server) in the Deployment name field.
  3. Tap NEXT.
  4. Enter your Alta Video Username and Password.
  5. Tap SIGN IN.
