Add walls to your site maps

To improve the positioning of detected objects on maps, you can add the position of walls and room dividers.

Before you start

Upload a map and associate it with the site. See Upload site maps to Map view.

Add walls to a site map

  1. From the toolbar, open new tool button > Map view Maps.
  2. Select Edit mode Edit mode button
  3. Expand maps section icon Maps .
  4. Expand the required site.
  5. Select the required map.
  6. Click Enter wall edit mode button Enter wall edit mode.
  7. To draw a single wall:
    1. Click Single wall tool More options and select Single wall.
    2. Click to position the starting point.
    3. Click to position the end point.
    4. To draw another wall, click an empty part of the map and then click to place a new starting point.
  8. To draw linked walls:
    1. Click Single wall tool More options and select Continuous wall.
    2. Click to position each point in the wall.
    3. Press the Escape key or double-click to complete the wall.
  9. To draw a rectangular wall:
    1. Click Room walls tool Rectangle wall.
    2. Click and drag to position the walls.
  10. To finish, click Done and select View mode View mode button.

After adding walls to your maps, set your camera fields of view. See Add camera positions to your site maps and Set camera fields of view.

Edit or delete map walls

  1. From the toolbar, open new tool button > Map view Maps.
  2. Select Edit mode Edit mode button
  3. Expand maps section icon Maps.
  4. Expand the required site.
  5. Select the required map.
  6. Click Enter wall edit mode button Enter wall edit mode.
  7. Click edit wall button icon in the center of the required wall.
    1. Click and drag endpoints or joints to adjust the position.
    2. To delete the selected wall, press the Delete key.
  8. To finish, click Done and select View mode View mode button.
