Add an Arming Station Pro to Alta Protect

You can add an Arming Station Pro to Alta Video using its QR code, IP address, or Alta Key.

Prerequisites

• Suitable names to identify the arming stations.
• A configuration profile. See Create Configuration profiles for your devices.
• A device group. See Create Device groups.
• Any required labels. See Labels for sites, groups, and devices.

Add an Arming Station Pro using a QR code, IP address or Alta Key

1. Open the Devices tool.
2. Select the Access tab.
3. Click Add access devices.
4. Find the ARMING STATION options.
5. If you have a webcam connected to your computer, select Scan QR code and scan the code on the unit.
6. Alternatively, choose Enter IP or Alta Key and enter either the device IP address or its Alta Key.
7. Click Add.
   1. Alta Video checks the connection status of each device.
   2. You can preview the camera feed from a Cloud discovered device.
   3. You can add offline devices via Bluetooth and let Alta Video connect to them later.
   4. To add multiple devices, click + Add more.
8. Click Next.
9. If required, change the NAME of the device.
10. Add the device to a DEVICE GROUP.
11. Select any required LABELS.
    1. To create a new label, open the column-top dropdown and select + Create a new label. Enter a name and choose Add.
    2. A blue outline and tick indicates a label inherited from the selected group or the site associated with the group.
12. Select the required Configuration profile.
13. Click Done.

Arming Station Pro configuration

Alta Protect arming stations contain a camera and a speaker. Each unit appears in the Access, Camera, and Speaker tabs in the Devices tool.

• If required, makes changes to the camera settings. See Change camera settings in Alta Video.
