Add an Arming Station Pro to Alta Protect

You can add an Arming Station Pro to Alta Protect using its QR code, IP address, or Alta Key.
Prerequisites
- Suitable names to identify the arming stations.
- A configuration profile. See Create Configuration profiles for your devices.
- A device group. See Create Device groups.
- Any required labels. See Labels for sites, groups, and devices.
You can associate each Arming Station Pro with up to four zones.
Add an Arming Station Pro using a QR code, IP address or Alta Key
- From the toolbar, open
> Devices . - Hover over
Devices and select Cameras.
- If you have a webcam connected to your computer, select Scan QR code and scan the code on the unit.
- Alternatively, choose Enter IP or Alta Key and enter either the device IP address or its Alta Key.
- Click Add.
- Alta Video checks the connection status of each device.
- You can
preview the camera feed from a Cloud discovered device.
- You can add offline devices via Bluetooth and let Alta Video connect to them later.
- To add multiple devices, click + Add more.
- Click Next.
- If required, change the NAME of the device.
- Add the device to a DEVICE GROUP.
- Select any required LABELS.
- To create a new label, open the column-top dropdown and select + Create a new label. Enter a name and choose Add.
- A blue outline and tick indicates a label inherited from the selected group or the site associated with the group.
- Select the required Configuration profile.
- Click Done.
Arming Station Pro configuration
Alta Protect arming stations contain a camera and a speaker. Each unit appears in the Camera and Speaker tabs in the Devices tool.
- If required, makes changes to the camera settings. See Change camera settings in Alta Video.
