Add an Arming Station Pro to Alta Protect

You can add an Arming Station Pro to Alta Protect using its QR code, IP address, or Alta Key.
Before you start
If required, create the following:
- A configuration profile. See Create Configuration profiles for your devices.
- A device group. See Create Device groups.
- Any required labels. See Labels for sites, groups, and devices.
You can associate each Arming Station Pro with up to four zones.
Add an Arming Station Pro using a QR code, IP address or Alta Key
- From the toolbar, open
> Devices . - Hover over
Devices and select Cameras.
- Click
Add cameras.
- If you have a webcam connected to your computer, select Scan QR code. Scan the code on the unit and click Add.
- Alternatively, choose Enter Alta Key and enter the device Alta Key, including hyphens.
- If required, you can enter the device IP address in the Alta Key field.
- If the device connects, click the
eye icon to preview its camera feed.
- If required, add additional devices.
- Click Next.
- If required, change the device Name or Device group.
- Select any required Labels.
- To create a new label, open the column-top dropdown and select + Create new label. Enter a name and choose Add.
- A blue outline and tick indicates a label inherited from the selected group or the site associated with the group.
- Select the required Configuration profile.
- Click Done.
Arming Station Pro configuration
Alta Protect arming stations contain a camera and a speaker. Each unit appears in the Camera and Speaker tabs in the Devices tool.
- If required, makes changes to the camera settings. See Change camera settings in Alta Video.
- If required, change the audio options so the device complies with your local privacy regulations. See Audio options in Alta Video.
