Known issues

During testing, we have found the following issues in these software packages.

Table 4 – Known issues found in these releases

ReferenceIssueSoftware
10562Issue: In some circumstances, the PTZ functionality might not work .Ava Aware
10561

Issue: For security alarms, you are able to mute the alarm from the pop up notification. However, once muted, you cannot see further information about the alarm, or unmute it from within the Ava Aware user interface.

Workaround: You are still able to view the alarm details, and unmute the alarm from the Aware mobile apps.

Ava Aware
10470Issue: When adding Halo sensors, you cannot currently view the details for the sensor channels in Devices or Map view.Ava Aware
10410Issue: When you export video that includes footage that switches from one resolution to another, there is a small gap between the sections of video.Ava Aware
10371

Issue: If you disconnect and factory-reset an Ava Cloud Connector from the Ava Aware cloud user interface, the disconnection and factory reset might not complete successfully.

Workaround: From the Ava Aware cloud user interface, first disconnect your Ava Cloud Connector. Then, SSH into the Ava Cloud Connector and perform the factory-reset.

Ava Cloud Connector
10251Issue: You cannot currently delete the training date and reset the training on Ava cloud-native cameras.Ava cloud-native camera
10162Issue: From areas of the Ava Aware user interface where you can set time ranges (such as in Rules or when configuring your cloud backup schedules) you cannot currently set a time-range that crosses two days. For example, you cannot configure a time range from 10:00pm until 6:00am.Ava Aware
10138Issue: If an Ava cloud-native camera is not contactable, any external links will not work, even if the video data has been backed up to the Ava Cloud.Ava Aware
10106Issue: In some circumstances, you cannot download Counts information from Ava Aware cloud.Ava Aware
10087Issue: When you apply a maximum streaming quality to cameras connected to an Ava Cloud Connector, the setting is ignored, and the maximum available resolution is used.Ava Aware
9800Issue: If you attempt to temporarily disable a System rule, the settings are not correctly applied, and the rule continues to generate notifications when triggered.Ava Aware
9752Issue: When you attempt to download the Audit log files, you can successfully download All audit logs, but if you attempt to download Recent files or Older than files, it shows as Failed.Ava Aware
9327

Issue: If you follow a link to an Ava Aware cloud alarm, if you need to log in using SSO, you are taken to the Dashboard, rather than to the Alarms page.

Workaround: Once you have logged into your Ava Aware cloud deployment, again follow the alarm link to view details of the alarm.

Ava Aware cloud
9117, 9165Issue: If you export video and audio files, or view those files from an external link created from your Ava Aware deployment, audio snippets might not be synchronized with the video of the event.Ava Aware
8861

Issue: If you grant user access via the Deployment Management Portal (DMP) for a defined period of time, at the end of that time, access is denied as expected, but the notification is not updated to show the change of state.

Workaround: Refreshing the browser shows the correct access.

Ava Aware
8018Issue: In some circumstances on a clustered deployment, if you set up a line-crossing rule on one site, and enable it from another site, when the rule triggers and you acknowledge the alarm as False, the alarm is seen on the first site, but not on the site from where it was enabled.Ava Aware
7983Issue: When using Ava Aware cloud to configure webhooks from Ava cloud-native cameras, the $url value is not being included in the webhook.Ava cloud-native cameras
7549Issue: When searching from the Video view timeline on Ava Aware cloud, when you click the forward or back 1 second icons, the video pauses and the bounding boxes disappear.Ava Aware
6911Issue: If you set a dewarped panoramic view in Video view, and then move to another Aware tab, occasionally, when you return to Video view, the panoramic view resets to Globe view.Ava Aware
6242Issue: When attempting to view live or playback video recorded from Ava cloud-native cameras, the playback sometimes stutters and does not progress smoothly.Ava cameras
6232Issue: When using the delete recordings function to delete all recordings including bookmarks, all the video and metadata are deleted, but the bookmark items themselves are not removed.Ava Aware
5406

Issue: When requesting an RTSP stream, any camera view rotation that has been configured in Ava Aware is ignored, and the stream uses the rotation settings from the camera.

See:
Local RTSP streams

Ava Aware
5253

Issue: The storing of audio from the Ava cameras microphone arrays is enabled by default.

Workaround: You can disable the recording and storing of audio for the Ava camera and from the Ava Aware user interfaces.

Ava cameras
2151

Issue: If you manually change the IP address of your Ava camera, you are not given any warnings that this will break contact with the camera, and you are not redirected to the new address.

Workaround: After changing the IP address of your camera, manually browse to the new IP address after the camera has rebooted.

Ava cameras
GeneralIssue: If third-party cameras do not support the multiple streams or the GOP profiles required by the Ava Aware video management system, these incompatibilities might impact the accuracy of the Ava Security analytics.Ava Aware
