Known issues

During testing, we have found the following issues in these software packages.

Table 4 – Known issues found in these releases

ReferenceIssueSoftware
10562Issue: In some circumstances, the PTZ functionality of compatible cameras might not work as expected.Alta Video
10410Issue: When you export video that includes footage that switches from one resolution to another, there is a small gap between the sections of video.Alta Video
10371

Issue: If you disconnect and factory-reset an Alta Cloud Connector from the Alta Video Cloud user interface, the disconnection and factory reset might not complete successfully.

Workaround: From the Alta Video Cloud user interface, first disconnect your Alta Cloud Connector. Then, SSH into the Alta Cloud Connector and perform the factory-reset.

Alta Cloud Connector
10251Issue: You cannot currently delete the training date and reset the training on Avigilon Ava cloud-native cameras.Avigilon Ava cloud-native camera
10162Issue: From areas of the Alta Video user interface where you can set time ranges (such as in Rules or when configuring your cloud backup schedules) you cannot currently set a time-range that crosses two days. For example, you cannot configure a time range from 10:00pm until 6:00am.Alta Video
10087Issue: When you apply a maximum streaming quality to cameras connected to an Alta Cloud Connector, the setting is ignored, and the maximum available resolution is used.Alta Video

Issue: When you have configured an external viewer, the viewer stops working after Alta Video upgrades.

Workaround: After the upgrade has completed, re-generate the one-time password, and re- enter it into your external viewer.

Issue: If you follow a link to an Alta Video Cloud alarm, if you need to log in using SSO, you are taken to the Dashboard, rather than to the Alarms page.

Workaround: Once you have logged into your Alta Video Cloud deployment, again follow the alarm link to view details of the alarm.

Alta Video Cloud
9117, 9165Issue: If you export video and audio files, or view those files from an external link created from your Alta Video deployment, audio snippets might not be synchronized with the video of the event.Alta Video

Issue: If you grant user access via the Deployment Management Portal (DMP) for a defined period of time, at the end of that time, access is denied as expected, but the notification is not updated to show the change of state.

Workaround: Refreshing the browser shows the correct access.

Alta Video
8018Issue: In some circumstances on a clustered deployment, if you set up a line-crossing rule on one site, and enable it from another site, when the rule triggers and you acknowledge the alarm as False, the alarm is seen on the first site, but not on the site from where it was enabled.Alta Video
7983Issue: When using Alta Video Cloud to configure webhooks from Avigilon Ava cloud-native cameras, the $url value is not being included in the webhook.Avigilon Ava cloud-native cameras

Issue: If you manually change the IP address of your Avigilon Ava camera, you are not given any warnings that this will break contact with the camera, and you are not redirected to the new address.
