Audio library for announcements and alarms

Alta Video and Alta Protect include a library of audio clips you can use for announcements.

Listen to an audio library clip

  1. From the toolbar, open new tool button > devices tool buttonDevices.
  2. Hover over devices button Devices and select speakers.
  3. Click new tool button More options and select open audio library button Audio library.
  4. Find the required audio clip and click play audio clip buttonPlay audio.

Play an audio clip through a speaker

You can play an audio clip by selecting a speaker in Video view, Devices, Maps, and pop-up notifications. You can make bulk announcements from Devices tool. See Make audio announcements.

Play audio in Alta Protect zones

You can play audio clips from the Audio library when an alarm triggers in an Alta Protect zone. See Automated zone actions.

Add a clip to the audio library

Audio clips must be uploaded in .wav format.

  1. From the toolbar, open new tool button > devices tool buttonDevices.
  2. Hover over devices button Devices and select speakers.
  3. Click new tool button More options and select open audio library button Audio library.
  4. Click upload custom audio clip Upload.
  5. Choose Select audio files.
  6. Select the required audio files from the file system and click Open.
  7. Click Done.
