Use the Arming Station Pro keypad or a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) card to arm and disarm zones or trigger an alarm.

Before you start

You can associate each Arming Station Pro with up to four zones.

Arm a zone using an arming station

  1. Press any key to activate the screen.
  2. Authenticate yourself:
    1. RFID card: Touch your card below the screen.
    2. PIN: Enter the code using the keypad and press intrusion pro keypad enter button. To begin arming the zone immediately after authentication, enter the code and press intrusion pro keypad shield button.
  3. After authentication, arm the required zones:
    1. If only one zone is associated with the arming station, press intrusion pro keypad shield button.
    2. If multiple zones are associated with the arming station:
      1. Press the required zone number and press intrusion pro keypad shield button.
      2. To arm another zone, press 0, select another zone, and press intrusion pro keypad shield button.
      3. To arm all zones, press intrusion pro keypad shield button.
  4. After the configured exit delay elapses, the system arms.
  5. You can stop the zone arming during the exit delay by pressing intrusion pro keypad cancel button or intrusion pro keypad disarm button and re-authenticating yourself.

Disarm a zone using an arming station

If you enter an armed zone, the arming station makes a sound to indicate the system has detected your presence and entered the pre-alarm state. You must disarm the zone before the configured entry delay elapses or the alarm triggers.

  1. Press any button to activate the screen.
  2. Disarm the zone:
    1. RFID card: Touch your card below the screen before the timer reaches zero.
    2. PIN: Enter the code using the keypad and press intrusion pro keypad disarm button or intrusion pro keypad enter button.
  3. After authentication, the zone disarms.

Arming station PINs

The PIN used in an arming station is either a PIN credential set for a user in Alta Access, or it can be a zone PIN.

  • If an arming station controls multiple zones, some using zone PINs and some using Alta Access credentials, entered PINs are validated against zone PINs before Alta Access PINs.
  • If an arming station controls multiple zones that have different zone PINs, only the zones associated with the PIN used for authentication are visible.
  • If an arming station controls multiple zones and a user authenticates with Alta Access credentials, all zones associated with the arming station are visible.

For more information, see Add Protect user credentials and Arm and disarm with a zone PIN.

If an arming station controls more than one zone, do not use a zone PIN that is the same as a user's Alta Access credential PIN. Otherwise, you unintentionally allow that user to arm and disarm zones controlled with the zone PIN.
