Triggered alarm actions

You can configure the behavior of the alarm and any specific actions performed when it triggers.
- To edit existing settings, open the
Alarm zones tool, right-click the required zone, and selectEdit . - Click
ALARM ACTIONS . - If required, open the
Advanced settings :- Add additional recording time for any video footage associated with the alarm.
- Merge alarms into one alarm if they occur within a specified timeframe.
- Increase the retention period of any video footage recorded.
- If required and available, turn on
Automated video verification .- Remote monitoring operators check video of the incident and verify the alarm as false or valid.
- This feature requires an additional license and is unavailable in some regions. See Alta Protect monitoring service.
- If required and available, turn on
Remote dispatch services .- Remote monitoring operators request a police dispatch to check the site of any valid alarm.
- This feature requires an Alta Protect monitoring service license and is unavailable in some regions.
- Use the
Pre-alarm ,Alarm , andValid alarm tabs to set actions specific to those alarm phases. For a detailed description of the actions available, see Alarm and arm/disarm actions.Pre-alarm : An alarm has been triggered in a zone with an entry delay. When the entry delay expires, the event becomes an alarm.Alarm : An alarm has been triggered in the zone, but not verified.Valid alarm : An active alarm can be designated by a user as false or a valid alarm event.
