Known issues

During testing, we have found the following issues in this release.

These software versions have been extensively tested on the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, using the Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers.

Table 4 – Known issues — Alta Video video management system

ReferenceIssue
8018Issue: In some circumstances on a clustered deployment, if you set up a line-crossing rule on one site, and enable it from another site, when the rule triggers and you acknowledge the alarm as False, the alarm is seen on the first site, but not on the site from where it was enabled.
7983Issue: When using Alta Video Cloud to configure webhooks from Avigilon Ava cloud-native cameras, the $url value is not being included in the webhook.
7887

Issue: It was possible to create an audio rule for All unusual sounds. Such rules trigger for event types under development, and could cause spurious alarms.

Workaround: If you have Sound rules for All unusual sounds, you can edit the rule to apply to a specific type of sound, or you can delete the rule.

7756Issue: When connecting to an Access Control System after making a change (for example, updating a password), you might momentarily see an Unable to communicate with access control server message, before Alta Video then successfully connects to your Access Control System.
7628Issue: When using Alta Video access control integrations on a clustered server group, attempting to add access control to a different node in the cluster fails.
7599Issue: When using Compact Dome cameras, you might notice the camera switching between IR and non-IR mode in low light conditions.
7581Issue: On Alta Video Cloud, sometimes, after Alta Video prunes old data in line with your retention settings, old Alarms might remain, but be unable to be viewed, as the video and other information about the alarm due to the data having been removed.
7549Issue: When searching from the Video view timeline on Alta Video Cloud, when you click the forward or back 1 second icons, the video pauses and the bounding boxes disappear.
7135Issue: For Avigilon Ava cloud-native cameras, alarms and anomalies might remain in the list on the Alarms page after the corresponding video has been deleted.
6911Issue: If you set a dewarped panoramic view in Video view, and then move to another Aware tab, occasionally, when you return to Video view, the panoramic view resets to Globe view.
6735Issue: When using Avigilon Ava cloud-native cameras, any system alarms or 123 Counts rules that are triggered do not include the thumbnail images in the email notifications.
6232Issue: When using the delete recordings function to delete all recordings including bookmarks, all the video and metadata are deleted, but the bookmark items themselves are not removed.
5461Issue: When searching for Gender, the results returned from Pano cameras feature a higher than desirable level of false-positive responses. As more test clips are added to the training models, this level of false-positive will improve.
5406

Issue: When requesting an RTSP stream, any camera view rotation that has been configured in Alta Video is ignored, and the stream uses the rotation settings from the camera.

See:
Request the camera stream from your preferred RTSP client

GeneralIssue: If third-party cameras do not support the multiple streams or the GOP profiles required by the Avigilon Alta Alta Video video management system, these incompatibilities might impact the accuracy of the Avigilon Alta analytics.
