Adding users in unified organizations

Alta Video and Alta Access users
Adding a new user to Alta Video or Alta Access might create a corresponding new user in the other application when the user databases synchronize.
- New users in the Alta Video Administrator user group create a corresponding new user in Alta Access with the Alta Video Default Role. The user is sent an email link to set their Alta Access password.
- Adding a Alta Access user to Alta Video creates a new user in Alta Video in the Operator user group.
DMP users
After unification, you can’t add new users directly to DMP. Instead, add them in your Alta Access partner organization and synchronize it with DMP.
- The first time a new user signs in to DMP or when you manually synchronize with Control Center, DMP creates a corresponding user and assigns them the default role set for your organization.
- To change the default role, open the DMP menu and select
Deployment list > organization settings >Manage organization >New user default role . - You can manually change the role assigned to a new user after synchronization and before they sign in to DMP.
- If you assign a new user in Alta Access the Super Admin role, DMP assigns them the Partner Super Admin role.
