How deployment unification affects DMP unification

The setup and existing Alta Access integrations of the deployments managed by your DMP organization affect how we unify those deployments, and this subsequently determines how we unify your DMP organization.

Potential outcomes for unified deployments

Deployments with Alta Access integration

For Alta Video deployments already integrated with a Alta Access organization as an Access Control Server, we unify it with that Alta Access customer organization.

• The Alta Video deployment remains in its existing data region, but its user data moves to the Alta Access data region. If this impacts your customer data residency requirements, removing the integration between the deployment and Alta Access will ensure it remains in the existing data region.

Deployments without Alta Access integration

For deployments not integrated with a Alta Access organization, we will combine them with a new Alta Access customer organization in the corresponding data center:

• The EU data center for deployments in the EU1, EU2, EU3, and AU1 data regions.
• The US data center for deployments in the US1, US2, US3, and NA1 data regions.

Potential outcomes for unified DMP organizations

DMP organizations with only EU or AU data

For a DMP organization that only contains deployments that use the European or Australian data regions, we combine it with either your existing Alta Access partner organization or a new Alta Access partner organization that uses the EU data center.

• This new partner organization also manages any Alta Access customer organizations created for these deployments.

DMP organizations with only North American data

For a DMP organization that only contains deployments that use the US and Canadian data regions, we combine it with a new Alta Access partner organization that uses the US data center.

• This new partner organization also manages any Alta Access customer organizations created for these deployments.

DMP organizations using the EU, AU, and North American data regions

If a DMP organization manages Alta Video deployments with a mix of EU, AU, and North American data regions, we split it into two new unified partner organizations, one in the EU data region and one in the US data region.

• We unify the deployments from the Alta Video EU and AU data regions and add them to the new partner organization in the EU data region.
• We unify the deployments from the Alta Video US data regions and add them to the new partner organization in the US data region.
