Known issues

During testing, we have found the following issues in these releases.

These software versions have been extensively tested on the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, using the Chrome browser.

Table 4 – Known issues — Alta Video video management system

ReferenceIssue
5475Issue: Upgrading to Alta Video 2.3.0 beta causes the Time of the week anomaly detectors to be reset and they automatically start to retrain. No Time of the week anomalies will be issued until the training completes.
5461Issue: When searching for Gender, the results returned from Pano cameras feature a higher than desirable level of false-positive responses. As more test clips are added to the training models, this level of false-positive will improve.
5457

Issue: When attempting to set the focus of a Dome from the Alta Video Devices tool using the slider, an error message is displayed.

Workaround: Either enter the required value manually, or use the auto-focus option to focus the Dome.

5438Issue: When carrying out a search over a long timespan, if the results are being collapsed, the Show more option does not show all new results. The new results are added to the Previous results section.
5425

Issue: If, when searching for a vehicle, you include an inactive device in the list of cameras being searched, you do not get any results returned.

Workaround: Ensure that you only include active devices in the list of cameras being searched.

5378Issue: If you position a camera icon outside of the map in Map view, and then Reset field of view and use the Advanced FOV option, you cannot reselect the camera icon, preventing you from clicking and moving the icon in Edit mode, or viewing the camera feed thumbnail in View mode.
4668Issue: When attempting to replace a camera in Alta Video, any attempt to change the device credentials are not correctly actioned.
4513Issue: If you configure a counting area using multiple sources from the same camera, or multiple sources from an encoder, Alta Video currently shows all counts as being from a single source.
4113Issue: If an object in a camera view is already being tracked when a counting rule becomes active, that object is not included in the rule count.
3748Issue: On occasion, the Avigilon Alta analytics might briefly detect a single object as multiple objects. If this situation occurs near a line crossing count, the count could trigger on the erroneous multiple objects, leading to an incorrect count being shown.
3708Issue: When carrying out similarity searches, if you have many results and add and remove thumbnails, the user interface can become unresponsive, with spinner icons displayed instead of video.
3646Issue: On somethird-party PTZ cameras, Avigilon Alta Alta Video does not recognize and calibrate the zoom features.
266Issue: In clustered Alta Cloud Connector installations, you cannot export video from secondary clustered nodes.
GeneralIssue: If third-party cameras do not support the multiple streams or the GOP profiles required by the Avigilon Alta Alta Video video management system, these incompatibilities might impact the accuracy of the Avigilon Alta analytics.
