Known issues

During testing, we have found the following issues in these software packages.

Table 4 – Known issues found in these releases

ReferenceIssueSoftware
10197

Issue: If you configure a scheduled backup, the system uses the GMT timezone, so your backed up files might appear to have been made at an incorrect time.

Alta Video
10140, 9715Issue: When setting up Webhooks to be used as a rule action, you cannot currently use the Test button when the Sending Method is set to From Ava devices.Alta Video
10138Issue: If an Avigilon Ava cloud-native camera is not contactable, any external links will not work, even if the video data has been backed up to the Alta Cloud.Alta Video
10130Issue: In Map view, with some camera icon locations and wall positions, the field of view cones might overflow into adjacent areas.Alta Video
10120Issue: When attempting to export video where some of the data has been backed up to Alta Cloud, but where the selected end time is after the time that the backup stopped, the export halts at the end of the backed up data, and never completes.Alta Video
10106Issue: In some circumstances, you cannot download Counts information from Alta Video Cloud.Alta Video
10087Issue: When you apply a maximum streaming quality to cameras connected to an Alta Cloud Connector, the setting is ignored, and the maximum available resolution is used.Alta Video
10058

Issue: When you configure cloud backups for a configuration profile, selecting View backup status ignores the information from cameras connected to your Alta Cloud Connector.

Workaround: From Video view, enable the Cloud storage backup layer to confirm that data is being backed up to the cloud.

Alta Video
10049

Issue: When you have configured an external viewer, the viewer stops working after Alta Video upgrades.

Workaround: After the upgrade has completed, re-generate the one-time password, and re- enter it into your external viewer.

Alta Video
9800Issue: If you attempt to temporarily disable a System rule, the settings are not correctly applied, and the rule continues to generate notifications when triggered.Alta Video

9327

Issue: If you follow a link to an Alta Video Cloud alarm, if you need to log in using SSO, you are taken to the Dashboard, rather than to the Alarms page.

Workaround: Once you have logged into your Alta Video Cloud deployment, again follow the alarm link to view details of the alarm.

Alta Video Cloud
9117, 9165Issue: If you export video and audio files, or view those files from an external link created from your Alta Video deployment, audio snippets might not be synchronized with the video of the event.Alta Video
8861

Issue: If you grant user access via the Deployment Management Portal (DMP) for a defined period of time, at the end of that time, access is denied as expected, but the notification is not updated to show the change of state.

Workaround: Refreshing the browser shows the correct access.

Alta Video
8512Issue: In some circumstances, you might not see the alarm bars for ended alarms in the timeline.Alta Video
8018Issue: In some circumstances on a clustered deployment, if you set up a line-crossing rule on one site, and enable it from another site, when the rule triggers and you acknowledge the alarm as False, the alarm is seen on the first site, but not on the site from where it was enabled.Alta Video
7983Issue: When using Alta Video Cloud to configure webhooks from Avigilon Ava cloud-native cameras, the $url value is not being included in the webhook.Avigilon Ava cloud-native cameras

Issue: If you manually change the IP address of your Avigilon Ava camera, you are not given any warnings that this will break contact with the camera, and you are not redirected to the new address.
