Convert your Alta Cloud Connectors to Alta Cloud Connectors

You can convert a new Alta Cloud Connector into an Alta Cloud Connector, enabling you to add on-premise cameras to your Alta Video deployment.

Risk of loss of data!

Known issues

During testing, we have found the following issues in these software packages.

Table 4 – Known issues found in these releases

ReferenceIssueSoftware
10042Issue: In some circumstances, when first adding an Alta Cloud Connector to your Alta Video Cloud deployment, it might take several minutes for the Cloud Connector to become available.Cloud Connectors
9471

Issue: The quality of the audio is sub-optimal when listening back from an audio alarm.

This does not impact the quality of downloaded audio snippets.

Alta Video
9327

Issue: If you follow a link to an Alta Video Cloud alarm, if you need to log in using SSO, you are taken to the Dashboard, rather than to the Alarms page.

Workaround: Once you have logged into your Alta Video Cloud deployment, again follow the alarm link to view details of the alarm.

Alta Video Cloud
9117, 9165Issue: If you export video and audio files, or view those files from an external link created from your Alta Video deployment, audio snippets might not be synchronized with the video of the event.Alta Video
9078Issue: If a user is not currently signed in to Alta Video and they attempt to download a video clip from an external link, the download aborts with the message Failed to export videos.Alta Video
8867

Issue: If a user enables 2FA via their profile, and subsequently an administrator resets that users 2FA, then 2FA is disabled rather than the user being prompted on their next log in to again set up 2FA.

Workaround: After the next login, the user can re-enable 2FA, and follow the setup process.

Alta Video
8861

Issue: If you grant user access via the Deployment Management Portal (DMP) for a defined period of time, at the end of that time, access is denied as expected, but the notification is not updated to show the change of state.

Workaround: Refreshing the browser shows the correct access.
